So I moved my blog here…
UGH, I messed it all up, it will be up in a couple of hours…
Why did I have to mess with it? It was up and running and perfect. Wrote a couple of posts, and then thought it would be so much easier if the old blog redirected to the new one, so messed with it. Only I made the new blog redirect to the old one… SIGH
Still trying to fix it up

Today we are doing Nina’s birthday party. I have actually had it on the calendar for months. We always go to this park and serve dinner. This year? Dustin’s family is doing a memorial for Carrie (who was killed last year). I don’t know what the guy who killed her got, but I know he got caught (he stole her car and kept it to get away.)
Anyway, I found out about this memorial thing on Thursday and was nicely asked to reschedule the birthday party. Huh? Sorry I don’t think so. I have the invites out, the cake ordered, the dinner bought, and so forth. For the last 3 years (since we lived here) we have always scheduled Nina’s birthday at the nearest Saturday. No it isn’t the anniversary of Carrie’s death, nor her birthday. It is however, the Saturday before Nina’s birthday.
Now I am thinking I am the meanest person alive, because really I don’t want them to come anyway. To me (maybe I am just really weird) her birthday party is about her anyway. The last thing she would choose is more people coming, I already got in trouble because she only wanted ONE friend. Evidently her friends don’t like each other and that causes way to much conflict for her. I keep telling her that her friends are going to have to deal with people they don’t like all the time. She says “but mom, they won’t play with each other and it gets exhausting if I have to keep changing who I am playing with.” (My big gonna be 9 year old says exhausting…)

My biggest and latest slacker mom moments.
1. I carry around my phone everywhere, so I can call my kids and ask them to get me stuff. (I highly recommend a phone with the option to call the other phones in the home.) I hardly ever have to get my own glass of water anymore.
2. I taught Nina to run the microwave so I don’t have to make her lunch. (However, in my defense if she won’t eat a sandwich for lunch…)
3. I get tired of looking for Nina’s socks (which she leaves where ever she is when she takes them off), I just buy her new ones ever month or two.
I am sure there are more, but that is all I can think of right now! LOL
August 13, 2008
I have been so busy getting ready for the school year. I have most of my new books, the kids have their stuff, I THINK I now have all the paperwork done. I forgot what a pain it is to switch schools. It isn’t like a young kid where they just forward all the info over. Plus I have a huge complaint with UW, they send all announcements and all that through the email. The bad part? It is their email, which can’t be auto downloaded onto the PC like my other email. So I didn’t check it all summer, thinking it wasn’t going to be needed until this fall. I was totally wrong on that one. I had tons of emails to go through, and even had some syllabuses in there already. I really wish I could forward the email or have it sent to my other ones (Incredimail is my favorite.)
Books this semester? Not to bad only about $400. <sigh> So I have been ultra busy. Took Dust and the other crew members lunch today, Dust wanted pizza hut. OUCH, $80 for 4 large pizzas and a medium! I don’t remember them being that expensive, but I guess. So I am going to take a break and take the girls to the lake to go swimming later. That should break up the being on the phone, filling out paperwork and all that.
Heaven gets registered for classes tomorrow. I am not ready for her to be a high school student. I have talked to her about the fact she is going to have to help with dinner a lot. One of my classes doesn’t yet (as of yesterday) tell me which day it is on, but the others include dinner time Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Anyway, that is about all that is new…
August 9, 2008
I stepped on the scale this morning and I am shocked. I am 169 pounds. I thought for sure going off the diet for almost a full week would make me weigh more. I am happy it hasn’t. I will resume the diet today.
I had fun, but I feel my age today. It is obvious to me I am not a teenager anymore. I guess I am not really old, but I think of all those people that do it all week long, don’t take a break, camp there, and are quite a bit older than me. WOW… I feel like I need a vacation for my vacation, just makes me wonder how they feel…
I actually stayed home yesterday, and I am done for the week. I just didn’t make a post because I was tired and wore out. So that is about it, one Sturgis Rally down, and now it is time to catch up on my laundry and stuff. The girls didn’t do horrible with stuff (specially not Monday and Tuesday when they weren’t here), but they didn’t quite keep the house cleaning where I would have liked to see it…
August 6, 2008
So Monday we went and ran around looking at the vendors, Dust bought a new jacket and I bought a couple of new shirts. It was hot, but fun. Not something I would want to do everyday, there are just so many people. We went to the Full Throttle on Monday. Which we go to quite a lot. They have the normal Sturgis feel there, but it it free to get in and we had a blast. You meet some really interesting people.
Yesterday we went to the Buffalo Chip. Mainly because they had Lynyrd Skynyrd and I really wanted to see the band. Theory of a Deadman opened for them, and they weren’t bad. Not really my kind of music, as it was a bit heavy. However, their music onstage was set up wrong. The lead singer has a nice voice, but most of the time you couldn’t hear a word he was saying. The music drowned him out, it was up to loud or his was turned down to much. I am not sure what the band that played in the middle of those two is. They were hilarious though. Adult hilarious though, but great laughs.
As for Skynyrd, they sound SO good on stage. Anyone that loves their music should go see them in concert. They didn’t sing a couple of my favorite songs, but it was a really good performance, and they were up there quite a while.
Now the Buffalo Chip by itself; how do I say this? They suck! I haven’t been there since I was 19 or 20ish. It was basically a huge field with a stage. It was really fun. If we would have just went for the concert it wouldn’t have been bad, but we went early. They had a schedule of events, that you can’t find because they don’t announce anything. Waiting was boring. They also have tons of vendors, can you say taco bell; 2 bean burritos, 1 hard shell taco almost $6? I know they need to up their prices a bit to make up for the fact they went all the way out there and stuff. However, more than double? Greedy! Anyway, I wouldn’t recommend the chip, unless you want to see a concert. In which case go to the concert don’t go early. We were planning on staying the night there (we had day passes), but it was SO much fun I just wanted to go home…
Oh and the people at the chip? Mostly rude. People (not to smart in my opinion) parked their bikes in the crowd near the stage (well before the crowd gathered), people threw beer cans on them and stuff. I was so surprised it isn’t something I have seen anywhere else. I had three different people dump beer on me, and while these I am pretty sure were accidents, no apologizing at all. I was very disappointed in the group of people, they just weren’t polite at all… (Some who don’t do this won’t understand as the movies show bikers as a rude bunch. Until yesterday, I had never met a rude biker. Crude yes, but not rude!)
That is pretty much my last couple of days. I might skip out and not go today. I am not as young as I used to be and I feel pretty wore out. We will see though

The information I will give this week on Isagenix is here is a clip about it, and here is the website to order some. Get rid of your toxins, feel really good, and be all around more healthy. This product is just amazing! I also feel like I should tell I cheated this last week… Yet I still had amazing results!
August 2, 2008
I have such a busy week coming up, I have decided that today is my TV day. Tomorrow is my grandmothers birthday party (75th). Then starting on Monday it is me and Dust time. While this will be a blast, just thinking about it is wearing me out…
The girls and I walked to the lake last night. It was so warm, and really fun. We took Snickers and Girr this last time, and they were wonderfully wore out by the time we got home. About a quarter of a mile from home the girls were wore out though.
I didn’t think it was going to be fun at first because Nina was crying (I made her wear shoes and socks, I am such an ogre.) When we got to the lake Nina “accidentally” fell in. Lucky for her it was a warm enough night she didn’t get cold on the walk home. She is so goofy…
August 1, 2008
I haven’t done anything different the last few days, well except my nails. They are a dark purple, with a light silver at the top. They look pretty awesome. Guess you are going to have to take my word on that one though.
I woke up this morning by ripping one of my “healing” blisters off my lip. Which I highly do not recommend, because let me tell you, if it pulls you out of a dead sleep… Most likely it doesn’t feel good.
July 30, 2008
We drove all the way up for the appointments for the girls. They had them scheduled for tomorrow. Now when I wrote this on my calendar for the 30th, I repeated the info to them 2 times. I got the “yes that is correct.” So I was NOT happy about it. Not to mention I hate the drive. So their new appointments are on the 21st of August. UGH
So while I was there I picked up a couple of 10 gallon fish tanks for the rats. I think that was the only good part of the day.
Then we decide to hit Arby’s on the way home. The order was a regular roast beef, a medium roast beef, a chicken bacon and swiss, and a cheese stick. So they seemed to have trouble so we sat there to look at the order. Heaven tells me there isn’t any cheese sticks so I relay that. Then she opens the box (that she thought was the chicken sandwich, and it was the cheese sticks), so then she says it is the chicken sandwich, so I relay that. Turned out it was the medium roast beef that was missing. I finally relayed that. I felt like a dunce. So if you work at Arby’s and that was you, a heartfelt apology.
Then there is crazy road construction all over the place, so I come to a red light. A flagger waves at me with her flag, I go. Well evidently I was supposed to follow the red light not the flagger. So I felt like an idiot again. Not that I feel completely to blame on that one, after all I was taught to follow flaggers….
To top it off I feel so itchy and irritable because of my healing skin, and my lips feel like someone ripped the top layers of them off…. Just not feeling to happy today! Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
July 30, 2008
Yesterday we went to town and Heaven took her driving test for her hardship. The lady said she did really well, and she now has her hardship. So we celebrated by going and getting her some applications for a job. I am not sure on my feelings about it, but I do feel a bit old at the moment. Although, I swear I am not really old.
Today is the orthopedic surgeon appointments. Which is a long drive, but hopefully we will find out something. I really want Heaven’s wrist to be all better. So I am hoping that happens.
I blistered yesterday everywhere I had burn. I looked like an alligator. I know I shouldn’t have but I soaked for a long time so those blisters would come off. So now I have a little bit of pealing skin left, but no blisters. Heaven helped rub them off.

Tagged by Ranisa! Thanks I love these things!
Four random things I like about my husband:
1. His back. Think Brad Pitt from the backside, those lean muscles. I just adore them!
2. His eyes. The color varies from the darkest brown to the lightest, with those eyelashes all girls wish they had… *sigh
3. He fumbles romantic behavior. He tries so hard, but can’t keep a secret. Although he does pick me up a flower every now and then “just because he loves me” and it is always so spontaneous I never know when one is coming.
4. He tells me he loves me, and I am beautiful. It doesn’t matter what I look like he says I am beautiful. It doesn’t matter if we agree or disagree he tells me he loves me, and that he appreciates me and everything I do… All in all he always can bring me up if I am feeling down.
Four jobs I have had:
1. Deli Manager
2. Store Clerk
3. Night Auditor for Motel
4. Librarians Assistant
Four movies I have watched more than once:
1. The Lost Boys – I have a freaky love of handsome vampires…
2. The Labyrinth – For some reason David Bowie is SO attractive in that movie… New spin on men and makeup? (No I don’t normally like men in makeup.)
3. The Last Unicorn – This was my favorite as a child.
4. Mary Poppins – Another childhood favorite.
Four TV shows I watch:
1. The Closer
2. Law & Order Criminal Intent
3. House (Although, if this doesn’t pick up this next fall I might be done with it. I was disappointed this last time.)
Four places I have been:
1. Las Vegas
2. Lake Tahoe
3. Niagara Falls
4. New York
Four people who email me regularly:
They don’t really do it often, but the most? I am not good at checking my email, so people aren’t good at sending them to me
2. My Aunt Nicky
3. Grandpa Joe
4. Grandma Marj
Four of my favorite foods:
1. Potatoes (any kind)
3. Yellow Squash
4. Banana Bread
Four places I would like to visit:
Four things I am looking forward to in the coming year:
1. New Car
2. Starting UW
3. Getting to ideal weight
4. Heaven being able to run errands
Four People I tag:
2. You (yes you, go do it!)
I don’t quite have 4 people that I can tag yet… Restarting my blog (and deleting mine before thinking about it and bookmarking everyone I talked to, has made it hard.)
July 28, 2008
I thought I would go ahead and do my measurements and stuff and see how it all went. I am then going off the diet until the second week of August (I have my yearly vacation time in there.) Which I will make a post about soon
I will edit with a picture in a bit, although I am sure the difference won’t be so huge yet
My Measurement and Weight Chart
Before – Day 3 – Today
Neck: 14.5 – 14.5 – 14 1/16
Upper Arm Left 12.5 – 13 – 13
Upper Arm Right 13 (wow that is kind of embarrassing they are different!) – 13.5 – 13.25
Chest: 39.5 – 39.25 – 39
Diaphragm 34.5 – 33.5 – 33.5
Waist (eww don’t want to admit this one) 38.5 – 38 -37.5
Abdomen 42 – 42 – 41.5
Buttocks 44 -44 – 43
Upper Thigh Left 28 – 27.5 – 26.5
Upper Thigh Right 27 – 27.25 – 26.5
Calf Left 15 – 15 – 14.75
Calf Right 15 – 15 -14.75
Upper Knee Left 18 – 18 – 17.5
Upper Knee Right 18 – 18 – 17.5
My total Inches: 359.5 – 358.5 – 352.3125
My weight: 178 – 176 – 171
Current BMI: 30.6 – 30.2 – 29.3
So 7 pounds, and a little over 7 inches in 9 days… Not bad at all! If I change my mind about waiting I will let you all know Dustin’s supply of Isagenix came in today so I will continue on until my vacation. I will update maybe once a week on my progress…
Also a reminder go to this web site to try this program too. Sign up as an associate for $36 (with autoship) you can change the autoship option later, but this will let you buy at wholesale instead of retail. NOTE: My lip looks HUGE in my new picture because of my blisters! (From my sunburn)…
July 27, 2008
I am SO miserable today. I got up at 6 this morning and took another cool baking soda bath. Then went back to bed for a while (until almost 10). My lips even got sunburn, I didn’t realize it until this morning though. I thought they were dry and chapped so I have been treating them with Vaseline for the lips. My punishment for not realizing this, simple blisters on my lips. *SIGH
I didn’t do anything but watch TV yesterday. My house is refilthifing itself. *yes I know that isn’t a word. I did come up with something that I think is interesting. I truly believe if you have studied a culture and have no respect for that culture, you learned nothing. It amazes me how many cultures there are and were, and how people just assume those cultures are awful and don’t take the time to really learn about them.
I suppose as boring as it is that is my post
July 26, 2008
So yesterday I went with Dust so he could have some work on his Vstar thing. We spent most of the day gone, which ruined my cleanse day. I ate at the olive garden, but I only had salad and breadsticks. It wouldn’t have been cheating (I could have had soup even) if it would have been a shake day, but it was a cleanse day. Oh well it tasted SO good I think it was worth it. And really only the breadsticks were cheating.
Bought myself a new dress, because my clothes were killing my sunburn. It is cute, the pattern isn’t my favorite but it looks cute on (patten looks like some hankies.) Have I mentioned that it is boring being at a motorcycle/ATV place? Well for me it is. Dust wants to look at all sorts of things that I could care less about. So he ended up buying a replacement visor for his helmet and new mirrors for the bike. Oh and the oil change as they didn’t have time for the valve job. Which means that most likely Dustin will do that part himself.
July 25, 2008
I took the girls swimming yesterday, my first time wanting to go swimming in a long time. (We have a lake in our little town). I stayed out way to long, I forgot how easy I burn. I haven’t had a burn in like 3 or4 years and then not as bad as the one I have now. We swam for about an hour and a half. I am in so much pain right now it is horrible. I have a picture of my back I am going to put on here, but I have to wait because it is on the cell phones. (Dustin has my cell right now, because his quit taking a charge, and the girls are still sleeping – it is on both Heaven’s and Dustin’s phone.) It was so much fun getting the burn, not so much fun with the burn. The absolute worst part? I was wearing waterbabies SPF 50. I used to buy the heavier stuff but I can’t find it anymore. I think it was found to be unsafe?
I weigh 172 pounds this morning. That part is just way awesome! I hear Dustin so I am gonna go…

|Thirteen Things about Terra
This is going to be 13 random things about me, so that hopefully I can get some help naming my blog based upon my personality.
1. I am a sarcastic person, this is my idea of funny.
2. I am a mother of two girls.
3. I have a lot of critters. I have 6 dogs (don’t do it, lots of work), a cat, a snake, and rats.
4. My sweetheart Dustin, is a huge part of my life. I do everything I can to make him as happy as I can. He is happiest when I am happy.
5. I am spoiled. My sweetheart attempts to give me everything and anything I want.
6. I am attending school to get a degree in criminal justice. I intended on being a probation officer when I am done.
7. I am human and make mistakes, I try to make fun of myself when I do this… I find it funny.
8. I hate a dirty house, and yet hate cleaning it.
9. I play a couple of online games; one is a roll playing game and the other is a virtual dog breeding game.
10. I like reading other peoples blogs, you can find out so many interesting things. Plus sometimes you learn you aren’t as weird as you thought you were.
11. I play on the internet to much. Sitting at my laptop happens more often than in should.
12. Heaven is my best friend. (My oldest child) This is wonderful but when I have to mother her sometimes I think it causes her problems. Imagine your best friend also being the person who takes care of you and tells you what you can and can’t do. I didn’t intend it that way, but I am glad in some ways. I have learned that most mothers “think” they know what is going on in their teen years, I do know. (Sometimes I wish I didn’t.)
13. I go through phases. I will do something for a couple of months, then I will put it away for a month or two… On and on the cycle goes.

It just dawned on me that I didn’t explain in my “new” blog about my fits. If I am going to throw a two year old fit in my life I throw it here instead of throwing it real life. This makes me feel mature and saves my family from thinking of me as a two year old child. So if my kids make me angry, or Dust does for some reason I type out my anger here and then I am better. I know it is silly but it helps me. So please excuse me when I do that…
July 23, 2008
So Heaven slept until after 10, Nina until after 1. They woke up to the following list;
1. Take out the trash
2. Vacuum the living room floor
3. Dump the cat box
4. Dust the living room
5. Clean up the front yard
OMG, they are so fricken abused… They want to go to the lake! Never mind that I spend at least 3 hours a morning cleaning. They can help… *SIGH
